Market Square is made up of two linked areas covering a total of 6 acres in the centre of Mallow town with the Main Street to the south and bounded on the east by the main Waterford/Dublin road (N7). As a gesture to the historic past, the old Buttery Wall is being restored and will feature as a gateway to the new development. A plaza will be created outside the Buttery Wall, while inside the vibrant public square will be fronted by retail units, offices, residential and Cineplex developments.
A basement car park providing 456 spaces will extend under the entire development. This will ensure a safe, traffic-free environment in which customers and residents can enjoy its many amenities without vehicles encroaching on pedestrian space.
